About The Indiana Wesleyan University Scholarships
At the IWU campus in Marion, Indiana, transfer students are respected community members. They are given the same level of support and dedication to their future. Students who are at least a semester out of high school at the time of entrance and have earned at least 12 college credits will have their academic award determined using the grid below based on their prior college work.
The GPA given below is based on a student’s cumulative college GPA, which considers all college work taken after graduating from high school. Scholarship amounts for students with fewer than 12 credits will be determined by their high school achievements.
Each admitted student (domestic and international) receives an Academic Award to recognize their commitment to their studies and to represent our institutional commitment to the future and success of every student. Indiana Wesleyan University is committed to character, scholarship, and leadership.
Applicants who intend to participate in the Graduate Counseling program full-time (9–12 credits) may be eligible for $1,000 each semester. Every year, there will be two new awards given. This award is competitive and requires a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.5. Evidence of academic achievement, a written statement of career objectives, proof of research experience, a written confession of faith, and written recommendations will all be considered when making decisions.
The verbal and quantitative GRE test scores will also be taken into account. Sustaining a 3.5 GPA, remaining enrolled full-time, and continuing as a student in good standing throughout the graduate program are requirements for maintaining eligibility. For the Fall semester, applications must be submitted by March 1, and for the Spring semester, by October 1.
